Free studio investment opportunity

If you run a studio or are a pro musician then free time is never good because it means no money. However I've had some today and spent the time wisely - I think, instead of it being wasted I did some investing.

I set up and mic and got out my trusty Taylor acoustic and then ran a track in record and then played several bars of strumming. Then I changed mic position and said to the track 'this is the bridge' or whatever and then played the same pattern again. After exhausting every mic permutation I then played it back to listen to the different sounds. We all know mic placement makes a heck of a difference, but having the time to test them is not always easy - I'm glad I did it for future reference.

Here you go - hope it helps. I am just waiting for a AT2020 which all the reviewers say is great for acoustic. How about we all start posting these things, perhaps same instrument different mics etc.?
