Well you should have checked the compatibility chart before going to an unsupported OS so you would have to downgrade again to work.

Re: Mbox 2 not working with MacOS Sierra, help !!!
Hello !
Any information about a driver update for mbox2 in Mac OS Sierra? I need to make a decision about throwing it in the trash and buying a Focusrite interface or waiting a little longer. Thank you |

Re: Mbox 2 not working with MacOS Sierra, help !!!
I'm using an MBox Pro 2 with PT 12.5.2 and OS 10.12.6 and so far everything is working.

Re: Mbox 2 not working with MacOS Sierra, help !!!
Interesting, that the firewire Mbox 2 Pro works... is it really a Version 2...
The USB Versiom of the MBox 2 does not work with 10.12.6... The last os, where the MBox 2 worked (with a little trick), is Yoesmite... 10.10 |

Re: Mbox 2 not working with MacOS Sierra, help !!!
The MBox 2 Pro's FireWire drivers are deadly.
If you're telling me that you're using an MBox 2 Pro with its own CoreAudio drivers installed on macOS Sierra, and you're saying that you've never gotten a kernel panic while using it, that you are a truly unique individual who has cracked the code of the universe, and are the only person in existence with this experience. I have literally not been able to solve this issue on the past few OSs as a certified Mac technician in years, so I'm very curious, if this is actually the case, what your setup is.

Re: Mbox 2 not working with MacOS Sierra, help !!!
I upgraded from 10.9 to 10.12. I stayed on 10.9 thinking it was the only thing that would work with my MBox Pro 2. I'm using the FW 400 into a FW 400 card in my Mac Pro.

Quote:
MBox Pro 2 Drivers: Mbox_2_Pro_Driver_10_3_3_Installer_78630 FW400 into FW400 Card. RAM 16GB OS 10.12.6 PT 12.5.2 I had one issue last week when I tried to upgrade the RAM to 32. I forgot to plug back in the MBox FW400 cable and PT was not happy. Duh. Went back to 16 GB thinking it was the RAM. Working now. |
