Default Faders gone crazy

A question for the almighty oracle:

I have a Digi 002 that has worked flawlessly for the last year, except that when I moved to a new apartment - the faders started locking up. They get into the right positions during sessions and move like they are supposed to, but I can't move the faders manually. The faders will not budge unless I put my fingers on *all* the faders at once.

The less faders I touch, the less they budge. In standalone mode, during "fader touch test" - the red lights above "select" blink randomly when I touch the faders, and show the same behavior. So, it looks like some erratic fader group error.

The answerbase suggested it might be a power issue. Is this the case?

Just recently tried plugging the power cord into different power strips and outlets -- no luck..
Anyone out there?

I remember a post about a year ago about a guy who had the same issue in the basement but it worked on the second floor.
Get an outlet tester (a few bucks at a hardware store)
Plug it in and make sure the polarity is correct and the ground is working properly.

OK - thanks for the heads up, will give that a try.
I've plugged the 002 into both of my power conditioned strips, a regular power strip, and directly into the wall outlet..

The strange thing is that the new apartment has newer electrical wiring than the last, and the last place worked fine.

Newer biulding have the nuetral and the ground seperated at the box. Older homes do not have that setup so it is possible you had a problem before but it did not show up untill now.
