Default Help! DAE 1115 Error

Just bought a brand new computer and installed PT 7.4. But when launching PT I got this error message DAE 1115...

I've optimized the computer in all steps, described in avid.com, tried different USB ports, but I can’t work it out.

I need help, is there anybody who knows about this issue?

I use M-box 2 USB
OS, Windows XP Pro, SP3
Intel Core™ i3 Dual Processor i3-540, 3.06Ghz
ASUS P7H55-M PRO, Socket-1156
HHD, SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0), 500GB, 7200RPM
3,5 GB RAM

Have you read through this?

If so, it may be time to post a Sandra report on your computer as suggested here.

Default Re: Help! DAE 1115 Error

I'm having the same problem with my Mbox2 and PT 7.4.

When I launch PT after a reboot it gives me a DAE error-1115 and shuts down. With second time (most of the time) it launches ok, but there's a digital noise (some kind of click) on the background, witch messes up my recordings and often the program also crashes.

It seems that the error may be caused by many things, but i've tried all the fixes i found online and nothing has worked. I have tried updateing the program and iLock drivers, but i get the same error everytime. I have also tried different Usb-cables and ports and I have reinstalled software and drivers several times. In fact only one USB-port works at all with my mBox (with others the PT doesn't recognize the hardware and lights in mbox are not bright).

I have a pretty new computer so is there maybe a compactibility issue? I have also tried running PT in Windows 7 (now i have Xp) but the whole system crashed (most of the time) when i plugged mbox 2 in. Sometimes (rarely thou) in Win7 the PT worked fine for some time but it was very unstable.

I have currently xp and win7 installed on different partitions of the same 1Tb hard drive (I installed xp just to get mBox work) and i'm using a dualboot system. Could that be an issue? At the moment I have PT and drivers installed only in Xp.

Thank you for your answers.

Doesn't look like either of you is using a secondary hard drive for recording.
Gwydion should start (his/her) own thread though.....

I've solved my DAE 1115 problem. I have spent several hours reading on internet about this issue and come across this thread: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=266067&mode=linear

So I bought a PCI USB 2.0 card, reinstalled PT and it works

Gwydion, . .I know you posted about this issue months ago, but I am having the same exact issue. Just upgraded with a P7H55 M PRO, with Intel i5 1156 Lynnfield 760. I have PT 6.8.1, so I have to run XP- and I thought it would all be great. Started with the DAE 1115 error and ticking metronome while PT was running, it would usually error out, then I would open it a second time and PT would run, but the tick continued. My Mbox2 actually wont work with any new MB usb ports... .mindnumbing that this stuff isnt backwards compatible for the money u spend. .. Mbox will only work on the original front panel ports of my case.. . But it still has the issue. I am going to try to put in a USB PCI card, I have an older 2 port LAN card from another computer, its about 6 yrs old. But I dont have any install CD for it, but i am reading that XP will often install the card on its own with no CD. . . .did u have to install CD drivers with ur new USB card?. . if so, I'll have to buy a new one and hope this all works out. I've spent alot of money and I cant afford WIndows 7 and PT 9 all at once right now LOL!! - any input would be great and helpful - Lincolnboy71
