Jog / Shuttle Wheel?
hi!
we are running an HD2 system on windows XP with a command 8. what i need is a good USB jog/shuttle wheel. i'm looking to use this to accurately scrub a tape machine (for example when there is no time to digitise my pictures in). we bought a ShuttleXpress, but it's pretty poor! does anyone have any experience for example of the JL Cooper MCS3? what i need is something that will scrub at least as well as my old pro control! or will we just have to get a c|24 or d command which have a jog wheel? many thanks. |

Re: Jog / Shuttle Wheel?
If you can find a JLC CS-10 on EBay or Craigs List it has a great scrub/shuttle wheel. Just pop the legacy drivers in the controller folder and you're off to the races.

Re: Jog / Shuttle Wheel?
The shuttle pro works well for what it was designed for and in it's price range, but I know what your talking about.
I have two controllers that I would sell you if you like. One is the JLCooper CS-10-2 midi. Nice jog shuttle but more for applications than video tape. I also have a JLCooper CS-1 I think (it's not here at the moment) which is just a jog shuttle and transport keys that connect via 9pin to video decks. This one was connected to my 3/4" Sony. Bother are/ were working fine. I don't use tape anymore and the CS-10 was replaced with a MotorMate. The Cooper shuttles work really well, nice feel built like a tank. The CS-10 also has faders. If your interested drop me a line. [email protected] |

Re: Jog / Shuttle Wheel?
I just finally figured out how to get results from my griffin usb powermate.
I set it to use Keypad 1, and Keypad 2 with the preferences set for keypad as transport. I currently have the repeat rate at 7, and it shuttles really nicely. Also have the pushdown set to switch between edit and mix. not bad for $30 or so http://duc.digidesign.com/showflat.p...c=1&PHPSESSID= |

Re: Jog / Shuttle Wheel?
I'm gonna dig this one out of the grave... I am currently trying to get an JL Cooper MCS3-RS232 functioning properly with PT 10. I have it connected to the computer and transmitting data to the supplied 'software' to reconfigure the keys and transport. I've successfully gotten the transport to work, and a few of the buttons, but the shuttle/jog portion has got me stumped. Anyone have any successful experience with this?
