I realised a problem after listening to my burned CD. At the end of every track some audible clicks could be heard. The clicks are not in the soundfile! I downloaded MLCD version 2.2, but the problem persists. MY CD-R is a Yamaha 4260 Firmware 1.0h and did work without any problems (with earlier DAE/Digi Init). Hardware PT 24Mix,9600, CD-R connected to MAC-SCSI.Do I have to update firmware ??

Hi,
You'll see from the following that the latest firmware for the 4260 is 1.0q. So you may want to try that. http://www.yamahayst.com/techsup/ From what you said, it sounds like it may be a DSI (Digi System Init) problem (MLCD does not use the DAE). Try burning your discs after booting with an earlier DSI and see if that helps. If it does then I'd want to know what version of DSI you had, so we could try to reproduce the problem. Keep me posted. Good luck, -- Marc [This message has been edited by Digi Engineering (edited 09-20-99).] |
