PlayBack Slow with Video

Hi

I am using Protools HD 7.4.2 Cs2 on Mac OSX 10.5.4, when i work without
Video on Project it works correct, when i use to import video in the session , it
become Slow when i click the Spacebar to playback is 10Sec Delay while playing the session, (DV quality captured in FCP DV-pal 48khz)When i Re-installed the OSX it works correct then after two days Same Problem Occur.

Mac Pro 2.66Ghz (4 Cpu)
500x2 HDD, 4 GB Ram

Are you playing the QT movie back on the internal or FW - is it the same drive as the session audio files?

Which video interface are you using?

Tried changing playback engine settings?

Change your System Preferences>Sound control panel from Digi HW to Built-In for both input and output, which should solve the problem..

Can someone please sticky this? I am new to the board and I see this question every week. I have asked it myself so I know it would help to have this as a sticky.

One of the primary reasons that I never install the Core audio driver. As I only ever use Pro Tools and no other apps via the Digi interface this is OK. The optical out on the mac is fine for most other apps for us.

I'll add it to the General Troubleshooting thread, but just like anything, people will continue to post, even though the info can be found with a search, either here on the DUC or in the Answerbase, not to mention it's in the Read Me that's installed with every system.

In The Session Both the Audio & Video are Delay to Playback & i am Using
Original 3rd Party Plugins Like Waves Diamond,Waves 360,Oxford Eq,VSS3,TL
Etc., i aslo updated the plugins version
