Default PT9 with 888 rig?

I like my 888 rig, but always wished that I could run it with a newer version of PT to use newer plugins and for easy compatibility with sessions coming into my studio that were done on newer versions of PT.

I was reading that PT9 works with other interfaces and software now.
Does anyone know if I can use my 888 rig with PT9 if I get an Intel-based Mac and a pci to pcie adapter for my older TDM core card?

Haha it was worth a try. No biggie. I have great outboard gear and its easy to just save a PT8 file to a PT6 file and then reverse when the session is done.

From my memory of having 888/24s, don't these also run as standalone converters?

If so, my guess would be that you could use any interface that has ADAT/SMUX to sit between PT9 and the 888.

M-audio lightbridge would do that.
