Default pro tools 9.0.3 session files freeze after reopened

Everytime I open a session I have been working on, the screen freezes, and i have to reboot my computer. Is there anyway to fix this?

I am running pro tools 9.0.3 on windows 7 sp1.
I have done all the optimization's required, but it still does it.
any help would be appreciated, its killing my workflow to not be able to finish my projects, and im on a deadline...

im using an mbox mini. it started happening the 1st time i used the software, but it wasnt constant. now its every time i put a session with 5 or more tracks together. i cant open any of my projects without it freezing.
I can create a new blank session and build while its open without any problems. but if i have to save it and comeback, it freezes..

Default Re: pro tools 9.0.3 session files freeze after reopened

If anyone can help id appreciate it. Like i said im on a deadline, and every single session i work on and save, freezes when i open it later. It worked once when i started a blank session then loaded the session data, but it only worked once. After that every session opened would freeze even if i imported the session tracks individually. I also tried moving the files to different hard drives with the same result, 1 good load, then freezes after.
Any help at all would be a life saver....thanks

Not sure if these relate to your problem, but here goes:

1) i3 may not be enough to power Pro Tools?

2) One stick of DDR3 RAM? You need three sticks to run triple channel and two sticks of DDR3 will be dual channel.

3) Two of your hard drives are 5,400 RPM 8 mb cache drives and one, while 7,200 RPM has a 29 mb cache? You need the recording drive to be the 7,200 RPM drive at least.

4) Integrated graphics. A separate video card is recommended.

5) Disable the wireless adapter when using Pro Tools. There are other optimizations you can try in the General Troubleshooting thread and in a link in that thread.

Hopefully there will be wiser-than-I gurus chime in shortly.

Cheers,
