Default Re: How good is the Fab Filter Pro R reverb?

I have more reverbs including Atmos reverbs than anyone I know. I have the Fab Filter Reverb. Like all Fab Filter Plug Ins the GUI is outstanding. Otherwise it's OK.
Having been a Beta Tester on these Reverbs I suggest you check them out:
Liquidsonics Cinematic Rooms

Here is their blog:
https://www.liquidsonics.com/2020/06...everb-in-2020/
and a quote :
"Credit where it’s due – the technology here was invented after we had some discussions with Marti Humphrey at The Dub Stage about his requirements of tight spaces for use in post. Cinematic Rooms really wouldn’t have been the same without him!"

I was also a Beta Tester for Michael Carnes and his Reverbs.
I would suggest:
Exponential Symphony and Stratus. All the above Reverbs are outstanding including being used in Immersive Mixing such as Dolby Atmos.

How do those stack up with making popmusic, chart music? We don’t do any post or mixing unless we want to mix otherwise the real pro’s do the lmix and master of the songs. So I am looking for a software reverb to play with when not in the large rooms in the studio.

If you want the same feel as in your big rooms then Seventh Heaven but if you want a different deal then Fabfilter Pro R with some tweaking. I went back and watched Marc Nelson's video and he has Abbey Road Plates in that session but he never calls it up for a listen. The gui shows a couple of times in the screen but he's actually using a different reverb. I have it and use it but mostly only on drums.

I use Relab Development's Sonsig Rev-A often.
Also a fan of Liquid Sonic's verbs.

I haven't used it and don't do the Fabfilter thing myself, but thats only because I've invested way too much money elsewhere.

I've seen it used a few times and I quite like the way it sounds personally, reminds me of those reverbs more associated with high end budgets. But that may not be the aesthetic you're after either. That's something that can be easily looked over in the reviews and comparisons and the hype.

I really think you need to use these things in various contexts and put to the test. See if they're sonically complimenting the production in the way you want it to.
