Dynamic Spectrum Mapper
Just wondering how many of you are using this plug-in for post. If so, are you using it to "match" dialog or as a mix buss compressor...or both. I watched the video's online and it seems like a pretty unique and powerful tool. Any experiences you'd like to share?

Re: Dynamic Spectrum Mapper
Use it all the time. I'm a typical "preset-user" and tweak from there. It's very powerfull and thus can also do a lot of damage, but if you grasp the concept and RTFM, it's absolutely worth the money.
I compose as well so it comes in handy there as a mixbus- enhancer, instant nicerizer! For dialogue it's outstanding, I've never had ADR match so beautifull as in the last film I did. The production sound got the treatment as well, but merely as an EQ, leaving the dynamic range intact. It was clear, full bodied and had a really nice presence. (The Dolby Mastering Guy actually complemented me about it, could have been politeness ;-) |

Re: Dynamic Spectrum Mapper
Soundworx,
Thanks for the reply. I want to use it for precisely what you say it does well but wanted feedback on it. Anyone else? -Fletch |
