Difference between Duplicate and Consolidate in Pro Tools 7?
Hi -
Quick query that I couldn't find a google answer to... For the work I do I need to prepare duplicated WAVs using the Audiosuite > Duplicate tool. As there's no shortcut for this function, I was wondering if consolidating regions into one 'wav' file is exactly the same? There's obvs a shortcut for this and would speed me up loads. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Difference between Duplicate and Consolidate in Pro Tools 7?
Duplicate will do just that. Duplicate the same clip. Consolidate is taking all the selected clips on a track and make one big clip instead of multiple little ones. *Coughs* Just saw you were still on 7 so that's duplicate regions / consolidate regions

Thanks for this reply....
But - If you select a number of regions and Audiosuite>Duplicate, you can create one continuous file as you described as 'consolidating'... Is this the same as the Consolidate function? Thanks. |
