Mbox 2 and M-Audio Profire 2626 in Pro Tools 8 LE
So i was wondering can the Profire work also in conjunction with my Mbox2 so i have all of the inputs?
Basically i'm recording acoustic drums and want to record all of the elements in separate tracks. So if you have an idea how i can record them with Mbox2 please fell free to share. Thank you |

Re: Mbox 2 and M-Audio Profire 2626 in Pro Tools 8 LE
Sorry, this won't work. If you had M-Powered, you could record 8 channels with the 2626, but the Mbox has no lightpipe input. Does the 2626 have a SPDIF port? If yes, then it MIGHT be possible to get 2 channels from it into the Mbox, but I don't really know how your would(or could) do it as I don't own a 2626. Basically, Mbox is really not a good interface for recording drums. Maybe you could rent a 002 or 003 for tracking?
