I have a few Mesa Rectifiers but honestly, I've yet to hear any of these GUI based maps that really sound great.

I have an SLO-100 head and I bought the IK Plugin a while back and really didn't hear any similarities. The graphic was pretty, though.

I should add that I don't usually record super overdriven sounds.

For what it's worth the Avid Eleven rack is a really nice sounding amp modeler (although it's not as good as the real thing) and is really affordable if you buy it without the bundled PT software on eBay (and is an affordable way to get PT if you don't have it).

Not sure I get what a "GUI-based map" is. The Soldano model met Mike Soldano's very particular approval, Cliff Cooper (Orange founder) said that we flat out nail their tone like no other company can, and this set is no different :) There's a lot more going on than an accurate GUI, that was the easiest part. Our engineers take pride in meeting the hard requirements and very particular ears of the people who make the gear that is modeled.

Here's the back of the amp posted (since we are admiring the GUI at the moment):

I think it was a typo. "Map" instead of "amp"

Can't wait! The only modelled rectifier so far that sounds like my real dual rectifier was done by brainworx.

When will this be released?

Still have my mark III sitting in the garage. Great amp. Never had a rectifier but sure do love the sound. I'd like to here how this comes out.

One thing I've always liked about Amplitube is they usually model more parameters than anyone else all within one amp model which makes operation more like the real amp.

I'll test this out for sure and see how it stacks up against BIAS Desktop and the Eleven Rack. Thanks for the heads up
