I feel VERY out of date with all these new plugins and after reading this thread so far I can conclude it is really confusing

Does this plugin work with PT11HD and PT10HD AND what does VST Host mean?! Come on .. Don't complicate everything please

Works w both 10-11 (32 and 74 bit AAX)

You can insert VST plugs like eq's, compressors, etc. on each band you define. Kind of like a multiband compressor, eq, or both (multiband eq.. HA!). Each band has its own volume, spread, pan. Also has a killer RTA to see your "work"

What I ment earlier was that it seems the plugin supports a lot of standards except the only one I am interested in, namely AAX64 on MacOSX.

I actually bought maschine partly to host vst instruments, since their website said aax version available. Then it turned out it was not after all...

A host is a plugin in say rtas or aax format that you open in Protools. Inside the plugin you open vst and/or au plugins and you need no wrapper. Avid is actually good with this host practice as well. Avid will not allow aax wrappers, which can mess up Protools more, from what I read.

Great to hear it even hosts vsti's. as soon as it is aax64 for Mac, my money is yours. The concept ot the plugin itself is very potential and creative. Or just a way to mess up big time. Your choice! :)

Great! Maybe they should put it on the site in so many words. It says 32 and 64 bit for pc, but not for Mac.

Never mind. Time to pay up! :)

Does the 64 bit aax version require 64 bit vst and vsti versions? In other words can I use Lennar Sylenth (32 bit only so far) in Protools 11?

The 64-bit AAX version can only load 64-bit VSTs. It is possible to use a bridge to load 32-bit VSTs.
