ARA the Celemony API for VST/AU? Yeah, don't hold your breath on that one.

Pinnacle, I say this with utmost respect...

Asking Avid anything about future timeframes, projections, features, pricing or really anything about what might or will happen with the development of any products is a waste of time.

They have, and will never give any definitive answer as to when or if something might happen. The best thing you can do is contribute interest, and leave it at that. I could start bringing out "water from a stone" and such analogies, but I assume you get the point.

If ARA happens, it will happen whenever Avid decides to implement it. It could be Pro Tools 11, or Pro Tools 20.

Pro Tools 20? I'm sure there will be a webinar on how 2421st 007 movie (which was shot by the new 8K cameras by the way) was mixed on the new Super Dooper Ultra-mega HDXXX (!) cards in 22.2 surround obviously as that comes as standard with UHDTV. I mean how hard can it be to mix Upper layer: 9 ch, Middle layer: 10 ch, Lower layer: 3 ch and LFE: 2 ch?

And we still won't be able to offline bounce...
