Default i can't get pro tools 9 to recognize my audio interface

i can't get pro tools 9 to recognize my audio interface. Whenever I enable record, I only get a mic input feed from the internal mic from my iMac. How can I switch the input to go to my 002 input?

Also, in order to hear my sessions from Pro Tools, I have to have "alt src to mon" button pushed in.

Setup: Playback Engine: Current Engine Dropdown Window?

Apologies if you've already checked that.

Current Engine is: Pro Tools Aggregate I/O.

The Pull Down menu has these choices:

Built-In Microphone
Built-In Input
Built-In Output
Pro Tools Aggregate I/O

I've also went to SETUP > HARDWARE and configured is as best as I can, but still it seems that the input is pulling from the internal mic on my iMac. However, I do notice under Audio Devices on the HARDWARE Launch Setup App screen, Digidesign HW ( 002 ) shows no in/ no out. But Pro Tools Aggregate I/O shows 4 in / 2 out. Those 4 ins are: Built-in Microphone (2) Built-in Input (2). The 2 outs are: Built-in Output. Clock Source is: Built-in Input.

Did you install the 002 driver? (It's not included within Pro Tools 9 like it was with Pro Tools LE.)

Check out kb381749 for more info.

Yes I did.

The problem is when loading up Pro Tools, it makes up it's mind to pull input from my iMac's audio drive rather than my 002. When I play a session, it never comes from the 002 audio drivers, I always have to press "ALT SRC TO MON" on the interface. I feel that's the same reason why when I press record, I get the iMac's internal mic feeding the audio rather than my mic which is hooked up to the 002.

I would just try reinstalling Pro Tools at this point, see what happens.

Have you tried reinstalling the 002 drivers independently?

Meaning, uninstall the 002 drivers and reinstall them.
