Can't copy and paste text

The Edit menu flashes as if copy and paste is working, but text is not being pasted.

OS X 10.4.10, PT 7.3.1cs3

I have the name of a patch

Foosteps,carpet,heels

I select that name in the editor, and copy that with command-c

I want to paste that into another patchname so that I can add a numeral 2 to the name. I can't paste it in the editor, or the browser with command-v

OK, you're trying to copy a patch name and can't paste it in the editor? I got that, but...

What editor? What patch name? In what program? In which window?


Do you see what I'm getting at here? It's still kind of vague.

I'm sorry -> STRUCTURE screenshot.

When I just took this screenshot I tried to copy Sine Wave and paste into New Patch, and it worked. So I had to recreate the scenario when it doesn't work.

If you copied something in ProTools first, then when you do a copy in Structure it doesn't overwrite the clipboard data that you have already copied in ProTools.

So to recreate, first copy some data in ProTools, then try to copy/paste the text in Structure.
