Default Aux inputs w/ Digi 001 and Logic Audio?

I am using Logic Audio 4.1.2 with Digi 001 on my Apple G3 (beige, 300Mhz, 192 MB RAM). Everything works just fine, recording, editing etc, but the only thing that appears to be a problem is using the inputs on the 001 as auxiliary ins. In Logic's audio environment window I can draw all kinds of audio objects - tracks, buses and outputs, all working perfectly, but the input objects don't appear to be working. When they pop up they are just grey rectangles the size of the other (working) objects, but without any faders or routing fields or nothing. They're just blank.

If I open PT 5.0 LE, the auxiliary input system works just fine with the 001. I have asked the guys at the store where I bought the 001 but they don't have a clue.

As far as I have been able to ascertain I have done everything correctly, all the hardware and audio driver settings, so this leads me to thinking the reason it works with PT and not with Logic is maybe that PT 5.0 LE works via DAE and Logic uses Direct I/O?

Does anyone out there have any ideas/tips? I would sure appreciate it.

THanks,
Bob Z.

I use the same setup and it`s very confusing,I don`t think that this is possible with Logic.Same as monitoring the inserts on your record enabled tracks, now that`s truely weird.Apparently this will be coming in a future update. This whole thing is really throwing me off cause VST has had these feautures forever...Cheers / Marlowe

Bob,

There are no input/aux objects available in Logic Audio unless you have a TDM system. I've been requesting that feature for over a year, but tech support (Emagic) says there some technical reason it won't work.
