This hardware buffer size is killing me!
Hey everyone
I have a monster computer with just bought half a year ago. When I'm running protools I'm constantly getting the "Increase Hardware Buffer Size error". But my CPU usage it no way near even 10%??? Even though I set the Hardware buffer size to 2048, I still get the error. I'm running 4 tracks with 3 pugins on each... And I get the error even though I bypass all the plugins. It all seems so unstable (I never get an error running Nuendo, Reason or any other program). Do you have a checklist of things I can try to get a better performance???

Still not enough information.
Please refer to the link provided above and post a full Sandra system report. Download link and instructions are listed in that thread. You should also read this thread: Help us help you - what you need to know before posting! |

You're missing some of the most important things - like which Digidesign hardware you're using, which version of Pro Tools, how you have all your devices connected to your computer, the error numbers in the messages you're getting and a list of troubleshooting you've tried (references to basic troubleshooting are linked in that thread). Providing all the information we ask for in that thread will allow everyone here a much better chance of solving your problems, so it's in your best interest to be as complete as possible. |
