Default This hardware buffer size is killing me!

Hey everyone

I have a monster computer with just bought half a year ago.

When I'm running protools I'm constantly getting the "Increase Hardware Buffer Size error". But my CPU usage it no way near even 10%???

Even though I set the Hardware buffer size to 2048, I still get the error.

I'm running 4 tracks with 3 pugins on each... And I get the error even though I bypass all the plugins. It all seems so unstable (I never get an error running Nuendo, Reason or any other program).

Do you have a checklist of things I can try to get a better performance???

Rune - I don't want to come across wrong when saying this, but you need to read everything in that Help Us Help You thread again and provide all the information it's asking for, especially if you want a quick and accurate answer.

You're missing some of the most important things - like which Digidesign hardware you're using, which version of Pro Tools, how you have all your devices connected to your computer, the error numbers in the messages you're getting and a list of troubleshooting you've tried (references to basic troubleshooting are linked in that thread).

Providing all the information we ask for in that thread will allow everyone here a much better chance of solving your problems, so it's in your best interest to be as complete as possible.

Well... I'm trying to The post explaining about the Sandra report only tells you to post the Sandra report and nothing else.

But here is my specs:

Mbox2 connected via USB
Pro Tools LE 7.1

I'm running Pro Tools from the C-drive and have all my sessions on the other harddisc, the D-drive.

My keyboard and mouse is wireless, connected via USB receivers....

Thanks....
