Default getting restarted

Hi,

I have Pro Tools 10 on my set-up, and all was successfully installed maybe 2 years ago, although I haven't used PT in about a year. During this last year there have been the usual "clean ups" on my system, though nothing has been uninstalled without my knowing. Trying to get going once again, I loaded PT 10, but there are problems. First, iLok License Manager needed reinstalling for the iLok to be recognised. All good now. Then, previously, a Centrance MicPort was configured for my mic, and today this driver needed reinstalling, but PT10 is only getting half-way through loading before saying that a piece of hardware is missing (see attached). Please advise, DC

Can you see your audio interface in the Control Panel or in Device Manager?

Since your last install was two years ago and your system has undergone changes, I'd start with a clean install of Pro Tools and see if that fixes it.

Try holding down the "N" key when starting PT and choose your interface when the popup window comes up, then let PT finish booting and see if that helps

Hi, the holding down "N" didn't work. I just had a look at uninstalling Centrance and came across this quirk, see attached. But it seems I cannot obtain the latest driver. Could this be the issue?

Can you right click on the device and re-enable it? When launching PT with the N key, does it allow you to select another audio interface?

No and No. I've contacted Centrance, so as to download their latest driver (I have 7.4.2 and they now have 7.4.5)... let's see what happens then, and I'll come back to you.

Hi, issue resolved. It was simply a case of reinstalling the driver for Centrance. There's still a red X through the Centrance item in the software programs list on my computer, which is a bit odd, though otherwise all appears good. Thank you for your patience, DC
