5-6 second delay when initiating record - RESOLVED
RESOLVED! The problem was drive A in the BIOS setting. Drive A was disabled but it showed a configuration for a drive. I removed that configuration to show no drive and now the troublesome delay on both record and playback-after-record is eliminated and the functions are working normally. Thanks to the member "The Weed" who suggested the A Drive could be the problem.
_________________________________________ [original post] I have a problem with a 5-6 second delay when I press record. I had been running PT 2018.4 on Windows 7 Pro with no problems. A few days ago I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and updated to PT 2019.12. Now whenever I initiate [record] on the transport, there is this 5-6 second delay. There is no delay if I initiate [play] Pre count is off. I also tested by re-installing 2018.4 but the problem remained. I have done the optimizations for Window 10. I also removed all third party plug ins and VIs but the delay remained' Has any one else experienced this? I was going to limit the record time but I see that option is no longer available in the preferences section. |
