Default MIDI drum track

I use a BOss drum machine. I recorded a drum track with the MIDI interface using the feature where recording is started only when the play button is pushed in the transport window. The drums both sound like and look like they are in sync with the beat timer in PT. HOwever, when I examine the MIDI track visually, ie. looking at the measures/beats in the edit it looks like the drum 'beats' are a little ahead of the beats in the measures. I hope this makes sense.

I'm new to MIDI btw.

Hi Mike(excuse me, MR. Mike ),

First, make sure your 'Low latency Monitoring' is checked under 'Operations'. But really, if you're not HEARing a discrepancy, I wouldn't worry too much.

Post back though with any questions anytime, Midi or otherwise, and one of us will help you...

Roy

MrMike,

It sounds like you weren't using 'input quantize'. Just select your midi track and then use the quantize feature in the midi menu.
