Windows 8.1 and Pro Tools
Hi all,
I’m a video editor who sometimes does their own audio in pro tools. I’ve just been looking to update protools from 2018.12 and I noticed all newer versions only have windows 10 listed as supported. Does this mean they won’t install on windows 8.1 or may not work properly? Why has widows 8.1 been dropped from supported operating systems? |

Re: Windows 8.1 and Pro Tools
Because Windows 8.1 is outdated. They write their programs for what is current as opposed to what is many years old. Be careful...a lot of us are having fits with the new video engine not working correctly.
