Re: trouble with MIDI playback
need to know how you are routing everything. are you rewiring reason or standalone routing audio throught the mbox?? what synths or instruments in reason?? do you have a mixer in reason with the synths hooked up to it, routing the audio out 1-2?? if not how?? how are you triggering and recording reason??? midi in pro tools or in reason?? keyboard or drawing in notes?? lots of options and variables here need some details of what your doing.

Re: trouble with MIDI playback
OK I just press play on my Roland XP-80 which has the drum track already sequenced. I use the samples from Reason Drum Kits 2.0 via Rewire and onto an instrument track.
Protools records automatically on the first MIDI note. I use that auto MIDI button in the transport. I use the mixer in Reason and routing the audio out to 1-2. thanks

Re: trouble with MIDI playback
I've been reading about it and I might have loaded protools wrong.
Do you know if it's better to set up protools first and then Reason?

Re: trouble with MIDI playback
Protools should be loaded properly but I think there's an issue with the MBox2.
the Mbox2 control panel says that it is not detected
