All audio files(.wav) have disappeared

Went to open a Pro Tools session from my external Firewire drive for the first time in a couple of months and lo and behold, it could not find any audio files associated with the sessions. I come to find that every audio file in every one of my sessions has disappeared. Audio files for over 50 sessions have gone missing in to thin air. The same go for my backup drive.

I am using LE 7.4.2 and OSX 10.5.4 (Upgraded to 10.5.8 today in hopes that this would help retrieve my files). I am not a novice user and habitually save every session every couple of minutes. I did not delete these files either. The only change made to my system in the past couple of months was an install of the auto tune efx plug in trial edition.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Any help is appreciated.

Open one of the sessions and go to the Regions bin drop down and choose 'Show Full Path Names', then look at one of the italicized (offline) regions paths - this will show you where Pro Tools is expecting the file to be.

In the Finder, navigate to that same location - are the files there? Have any folders or drive names been changed from the way they are indicated in the path name?
