Unhappy 11R recording problem

Hi all
on my 11r when i record ,(say a single string g) on play back there appears to be a artifact in the sound, (if you turn of low latency mode you can also here the problem on the monitored audio) when i expand the wave there is what appears to be a timing pulse all the way through the recored wave . as this only happens wile recording via the USB i assume its a USB issue with the 11R, i have tried it on several PC's and MAc systems the fault still happens, i had to send my unit back to the place of purcahse When i spoke to the guys at the shop they said they could see the pulse in the wave form also so know the unit has been sent back to Avid i assume NOT good for a 1 day old unit .. has anyone had a similar problem.
if anyone wants a copy of the small mp3 to listen to please contact me and ill send it i will be keen to see what others think
ps the fault seems to appear after the unit warms up, and the unit is ok in live mode NOT USED WITH computer

The only thing similar that I know of is that if the USB drivers are older, a crackling artifact type noise can be produced, and that they recommend updating those drivers....and they also recommend that you do NOT use a USB hub.

Check the Pro Tools compatibility docs to make sure your home-built machine is supported. I hope it works out! Make sure to update to FW 1.0.3 if you haven't, and the latest version of Pro Tools with any CS updates.

Thank guys for the feedback.
i did check with the compatibility lists all seem ok , apart from that i did try it on a system that is already running a 11r ok and i still had same issue.
as far as i understand it when the shop checked it they said they could see the anomaly in the waveform also so as far as i know its now waiting for a returns number from Avid to go back.
i must say i am very disappointed after saving up so hard for the unit still
these things happen
just hope avid can get on top of it ASAP
