Default mbox as sound input device???

How do I make my mbox an option for sound input in control panel > sound > input ??? Everything is working fine with it and protools, but I'd like to use it for regular sound input as well.

Interestingly the mbox is listed as a sound output device.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

You are using the wave-driver, right? And you are not talking about inputs for ptle, right? This is a limitation of thej wave-driver. The wave driver used to have inputs, but sadly no more anymore.....

A wave-driver is.....??? Perhaps this is a problem.

So, wave-driver is installed with PTLE. I downloaded the Digi MME Helper. It appears to have windows executables for sound pre-choosen.

I still can choose the mbox as sound recording input. What am I missing?

First you say you cannot choose it as an input, and now you can? Without sounding harsh, but what is your exact problem?

To use any digidesign audio interface as you main sound output, as in iTunes. You have to select it within Quicktime. Change the audio preference to your hardware, ie Mbox. Then reboot.
