Pro Tools 8.0.4 + MAC OS X Lion 10.7.3 don't work

I bought the M-Box Mini which comes with the Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 and I have a MacBookPro with MAC OS X Lion 10.7.3, which means Pro Tools wont work. What should I do? Should I downgrade MAC OS?

Had it happened to me, I would first check out OS specs for that version & upgrade/downgrade or dual boot from that required OS.

Yeah, I think I'll have to downgrade to Snow Leopard. That's the only way, right?

PT 8 is not supported in Lion but many people have been successful by using PT8 in Snow leopard and then 'updating' the OS to Lion. For those who start with Lion and try and install PT8 there seems a lot less of a success rate.

i would try updating to 8.0.5.

Most of the people that have a problem with 8.0 and lion are using an Mbox with a USB interface. The ones using a firewire interface dont seem to have any problems.

It will work without any issues at all.
I have done extensive tests with the MBox2 USB and 3 Series(both USB and Firewire)and Digi 002 and 003 as well Eleven Rack.
If you are wondering why would I have all of these interfaces? I am a Pro Audio Consultant for several Southern California Colleges and Universities and most of my work is configuring their Pro Audio and Technology Labs.

All systems perform without problems from a fresh installation of Lion 10.7.3
Fresh PT 8.0.4 install then updated to 8.0.5

My recommendation for you all is to run a fresh installation of Lion.
The overall performance of your system will increase significantly.
