Default Dragging audio from workspace changes session sync settings.

Good morning y'all,

here's a funny one. Working on a post mix at a different studio - every time I drag an audio file from the workspace into PTs the session setup/sync I/O settings/clock reference changes from internal to Vid Ref (SD)...

I get the 'Pro Tools is not locked....' bla bla error. I have to open session setup and click back to internal each time after I drag in a file...Sync I/O / Pro Tools sync then relocks.

No elastic is used. Audio conform to to session tempo is not selected. No house sync/ VD ref is in use - only Sync I/O Internal. Convert/copy files on import is selected.

Thoughts?

Can you click the link at the top that says "Help Us Help You" and give us the needed information to assist? PT HD? We have no clue....

Also If you turn off convert copy files at import does it still do it?

Oh...of course.

PT10.2.0 HD Accel II.
Intel Mac 6 core dual/16 GB RAM
OSx 10.6.8
Icon DCommand.
Sync I/O. 192. XMon.

Turning of 'convert to Wav on import' makes no diff. Nor does turning of 'auto copy files on import' or 'convert copied files to session format'

Thanks again

That is indeed interesting... never had that happen... had the SYNC I/O freeze up and roll timecode to 00000000 but we found it was due to a video reference signal dropping in and out....

It would be worth a shot to delete prefs and see If that stops this...

One more question, Is this ALL sessions or just one or a few?
