CPU performance is the large issue and for someone who is running a light session, they may never feel the problems.

Open a session with 90 tracks, 30 VIs and a half dozen impulse reverbs then work fast, stop and start audio frequently and see if there are still no issues.

I would suspect that even after AVID releases their "certified for Mojave" version, it'll still have issues. MacOS updates that cause this many issues for Pro Tools tend to take a LONG time to iron out... like spring of 2019 would be my guess.

Best to stay on 10.13.3 until then, and don't buy a new Mac Mini until then either... which I know is EVERYONE's concern right now :)
As some others have reported, Mojave has been a really great move for me. Haven't had a single crash, or any of the performance issues that are supposedly happening to some (I haven't seen any reports of such). Just my 2cents worth/

Since I posted this thread I’ve been on Mojave doing all kinds of projects. Music mixes with large track counts, post production of animated projects with an even larger track count and plugins galore on voice tracks for monsters and such etc... I’ve done Reality shows with a TON of voice tracks and music tracks, documentaries and fiction shows...

My work is mostly Sound Design and mixing and let me tell you there is no such mine field. My buffer is 64, my interface is an old Mbox pro 3rd gen and the system is a 2014 iMac i5. If anything the performance in MY CASE is better than High Sierra.
Of course there have been a couple of crashes importing aaf or omf.. but that has happened on every single version of pro tools I’ve owned since PT7 M-Powered.
Still my only complain is that my M-audio Oxygen is not recognized on PT, but Logic Pro and Reason recognize it no problem.

I really recommend anyone who has problems with HSierra to try it out on a separate partition.
Cheers!

Does anyone know if there is a hint at when "official" support will be announced by AVID, i.e. version 2018.8 perhaps?

Weeks, months...?

No one knows and those who do know aren't allowed to say anything.

And a FYI PT 2018.8 was never released and now we have 2018.12 arriving anyday so where did you get 2018.8 from? The current version is 2018.10.

Yes, in my system, both aaf from Media Composer, premiere and Davinci Resolve and good old omf from final cut 7 import with no hiccups with Pt Ultimate 2018.10 on Mojave 10.14
Hope it helps

I'm on PT 2018.10 Mojave it works all totally fine except with the Toontrack Superior drummer 3 latency found while clicking on different kits: snare, Kick.etc.. it keeps being stuck and not smooth on realtime mouse clicking. Don't know what to do?? ... Does the PT next update gonna fix this issue/problem? When? Please help.
