Re: PRO TOOLS HD 7 DEBUTS OCTOBER 7TH
this is exciting.
RTAS on auxes is huge. Very excited about that. Drag onto a track from the finder opens up new possibilities too. Nice. Curious about the new menu structure. things that come to mind that I really want as a key command. I suppose I should get quick keys. 1. Toggle "tab to transient" as mentioned above. 2. Toggle scrolling on or off. When zooming in to edit at sample level, it is annoying to have the screen jump when you play. and I second the motion that we need a visual indicator of which side the ill-placed "n" key we are on, controlling insertion following playback. |

I would like to see a keyboard shortcut for machine follows edit/insertion (MachineControl).

Re: PRO TOOLS HD 7 DEBUTS OCTOBER 7TH
Two things are not clear from that press release for me:
The Midi/Audio Track feature: If I want to print the output to a track, can it be this same track or do I need another. Rex file and Acid file support is great but how does it work? Does it just treat it like an audio file (defeating their purpose) or can you adjust the tempo and how?

I think Rail is the only celebrity on the DUC (relative to the DUC). That's a testament to how difficult it is to attain that status.
