Midi Mate Ex and Nord Rack 3

Hi,

I can't get PT to send MIDI to my virtual synth. Can you help? Here's what I've done so far:

I've written some bass parts into an instrument track in Pro Tools 12.

I set up my MIDI connections in PT as shown below.



The Output of the bass instrument track is Nord Rack 3 Channel 1.

Nord Rack 3 is set to receive on Slot Channels 1 through 4.

Audio connections are good. If I trigger a note on the Nord Rack (it has a physical note trigger button on the unit), I can see it and hear it in PT.

When I press play in PT, I can see the meter moving on the Instrument track. However, nothing is coming into the Audio track that is receiving the output of the Nord, and I hear nothing on the headphones that are connected directly to the Nord.

Any ideas?

Got it. Input and Output ports (in the MIDI Studio Setup dialogue) were backwards (or my MIDI cables were backwards, whatever).

By the way, make sure you have LLM turned off.
