There are Avid authorized service centers all over the US. I used allproelectronics.com(in Nashville, TN) but I'm sure there is a facility near you. Maybe a google-search is all you need?

Did you hot-swap the firewire connection? If so, you may have fried the board in your 003, computer or both. Been there, done that <sigh>

Something to consider; if its the rack version, it may be cheaper to buy a used 003rack off of craigslist vs paying for a repair. I have purchased used 003r's for $300, and when I had my 003 console repaired, it cost $327(but I wanted to have the control surface). If you have the control surface, you still might get off cheaper by purchasing a second-hand unit, but it would make sense to get an estimate from any Avid-approved service house
