Unhappy More Information About OSX Lion Support

Hi Avid,

I couldn't call or email your support so hoping to get some help from the community.

My question concerns OSX Lion support for Pro Tools 9. Obviously it's in Beta at the moment in 9.0.5 as you have mentioned. So I won't upgrade OSX to Lion at the moment. When should I expect OSX Lion support to come out of Beta for Pro Tools 9? I don't want to upgrade Pro Tools to Pro Tools 10 yet because I the upgrade is Sooo expensive for the new features you get. I also don't want to run Pro Tools in Beta because I need it to be reliable. Apple is coming out with lots of features which is Lion only so at the moment I am forced to run one machine in snow leopard and one machine in Lion. I then have to switch between computers every time I want to do something which requires Lion.

Are we talking 1, 2, 3 months before lion support for PT9 comes out of Beta? or is support for Lion never going to come out of Beta for PT 9? Is my only option to upgrade to Pro Tools 10?

Thanks,

Rob

Have been on PT9.05 and Lion 10.7.2 for at least 3 weeks... no major issues to report.

Ditto for PT9.0.5 and Lion 10.7 on a MBP 17" - really good

Exclamation Re: More Information About OSX Lion Support

Count me as one of many who ARE having issues with 9.0.5 and Lion. There is no visual preview when moving regions around in the edit window, and no visual preview when editing automation. This makes both operations virtually impossible, and thus makes Lion virtually unusable for PT for those of us experiencing these issues.

I'm using it with an mBox 2 Mini on a 27" Mid 2011 iMac i5 with 12GB RAM.
