Black Magic Intensity Pro won't work

Hi all,

So my Intensity Pro card arrived today and after carefully fitting to my Mac, I got nothing on my monitor.

This is my setup: Mac Pro > Intensity Pro HDMI out > 3m HDMI to DVI cable > Dell monitor DVI in.

I tried different versions of the driver with no luck. Basically the monitor dosen't like the signal, it goes into power saving mode. I've tried it on different monitors. I'm thinking it could be the cable or maybe the Dell monitor just doesn't like the signal?

I've tried Media express, Quicktime Pro 7 and Pro Tools 9 without any luck.

Please help!!!

QuickTime 7 won't send an image out to the Blackmagic. Try their own video player that comes with the card, BlackMagic Media Express.

Are you trying to use it as a desktop extension?

It might not work with your DVI monitor. Here is a quote from Callum McLay
Technical Support Consultant Blackmagic Design EMEA:

"The Intensity card only outputs YUV colour space over HDMI. DVI is a purely RGB colour space. Therefore, you will unfortunately not be able to use a HDMI to DVI adapter to connect to your screen, as your DVI monitor will not be able to display the video signal.¨
