Default S3L USB Drive issues

Good afternoon everyone! I'm looking to update our S3L system to the latest 4.6 update. I can't for the life of me get the update to even start.

I've tried different formats, 4 different usb drives, and I've had no luck. The update files are the only files on the drives. I have the drive plugged into the front USB port on the E3 engine. I'm able to record to the drives on the media tab, but I can't back up files or update the console. What am I missing? Thanks!

did you place the VENUE_Update folder onto the root folder of your USB drive?

Forgive me if this is dumb, but I think so. I'm using a Mac to add the files. This particular one is FAT32. This is what's on my drive, and it's the only thing. The other 3 drives I tried are set up the same. Does it have to be done from a PC?

Forgive me for asking what seems to be a stupid question..... you are trying to update from the "System" Tab in the Option menu, yes?

Try deleting the _ in the name of the folder.

To have update recognized you need:
1. USB formatted so that it's recognized (FAT32, FAT16, NTFS, AFAIR exFAT also)
2. An update installer must be placed as a top-level folder. Folder name doesn't matter.
3. An update installer folder must directly contain files, including the "VENUE Installer.bat".

To recheck any of these items, better go to the VENUE system itself - this would allow more reliable troubleshooting. I.e. exit to desktop and navigate to USB drive to check these things.

4. The software from which you're updating should be supported (4.5.3 in the case of 4.6).
