Playing MIDI through Quicktime
I don't have any soft-synth plugs on my system but I need to play MIDI tracks (guide track) while tracking. I also can't bring any external MIDI with me. Is there a way to play a MIDI track through Quicktime instruments, through PT? It doesn't need to sound that great, it's just a guide track. I know you could do it in the old days (OS 9), but how about now?
Thanks! --> freddie |

Re: Playing MIDI through Quicktime
In case anyone's wondering...I downloaded SimpleSynth and it does exactly what I need! The audio output comes out my Powerbook's audio out, which I link into one of the inputs on my 1814. Excellent.

Re: Playing MIDI through Quicktime
Old thread, but thanks a lot! I've been wondering how I can get Pro Tools to play a General MIDI sequence. I've had SimpleSynth for awhile, I just never thought to use it like this.
