Do they send a T1000 after you if you don't pay?

Check for bad solder joints around the power supply before actually replacing the PS. This was the problem with ours and Audio Rehab in Burbank fixed it..

Does anybody perhaps know which PS exactly to get for the Procontrol?

11 miles, I don't know the right one, BUT, if you clean all the pins on the power supply (male & female) with a $10 can on CAIG de-oxit & some elbow grease with q-tips or some such, you may 'get 'er working' just fine.

I have personally repaired a half dozen Digi 002s doing just that. Fortunately, my ProControl & fader pack have never had the "oxidizing power harness problem." YMMV Best :) Walt

Hi,
It's actually the plug pins on the circuit board have to be re-soldered.
Then the female plug has to be replaced.
That will fix it for good.
Burnishing the pins just puts the failure off for a while.
You don't need a new PS.

Good luck

Mine too, just started a few days ago! I noticed it starting with the scribble pad one day, it had miscellanious writting for a split second but never gave it a second thought until today! Now I'm having the exact same issue full blown, it's periodic and annoying. I also hear a Relay Clicking In and out as it happens
just where the control room section is, and when it does happen depending on the sequence my surround monitoring kicks in and out.
I hope all it is, is the power supply and not a whole mother board issue!
We have an authorized digi service center here, I'll bring the unit in next week and see what they have to say.
I'm sending the service center a link to this post.
At least when I take the unit off line but leave it on the controlroom section still works!
Thanks for the post!

Seriously folks, you can fix this yourself.
I'm not a tech and there may be other PS issues...BUT

When mine went wacky, I bought a pair of magnifying reading glasses, and found tiny fractures in the solder joints at the pin connectors.

Just re-solder the the pin connectors on the PS assembly.
It'll take you longer to open remove all the little screws and open the PC up than it will to heat up an iron and do the fix.

Get in there!

cheers
DG

Hi Cory, did you have your PC repaired here at CEV (I presume...) ? How did it go ? Was it the P.S. ? Thanks (I have one here too freaking out ...)
