Beat Detective locates region-cuts earlier than snare hits
Hello together,
for a long time I refused to use it, but now I'm checking it out: Beat Detective. By the way: It's PT9 MP - B.D. works only on single tracks. So I have to cut track by track. After checking some tutorials the use of B.D. is quite handy for me, but one problem I can't solve: When I select already cutted regions B.D. locates cuts or the very quiet bassdrum hits earlier than the hits of the snaredrum. With 9% sensitivity (here in the picture it is set to 11%) it locates the cuts, but with 12% it begins to locate the very loud snare hits. What can I do? Do you have experience with this issue? Thank you |

Guess I'm not understanding what the "issue" is? Looks like BD is working as it's designed to.

Re: Beat Detective locates region-cuts earlier than snare hits
It is designed to detect region cuts and -40dB bassdrum hits instead of -8dB snare hits?
I have "analyzed" the correct selection at the track "2SD_2"! |

Re: Beat Detective locates region-cuts earlier than snare hits
Ok, sorry I see what you mean now. That's definitely weird, like it's doing the opposite of what it should. Does it happen in other sessions or just this one? Do you have the latest version of PTMP9?

Re: Beat Detective locates region-cuts earlier than snare hits
It's PT MP 9.0.0.
Yesterday I continued to work with B.D. at my drums sessions. It's more weird now. Sometimes it works correctly and sometimes it triggers nothing or cuts or very quiet noises. But only in the snare track. I'll keep looking at and try to find out exactly in which case it works correctly. |

Re: Beat Detective locates region-cuts earlier than snare hits
after working some days more with b.d. there are no more problems. seems that I have done something wrong. now I select the region, then "capture selection" and "analyze" and it works.
thanks for your help |
