The MOTU switch is probably your cheapest option. Note though that the Genelecs appear to support AES67/Ravenna, not AVB, so the two things ain't going to talk. Unfortunately, AVB to Dante gateways are non-existent (with perhaps some very expensive exceptions), so you'd need to do a round-trip via another protocol such as AES, MADI or BLU Link.

I'd say that is likely the answer. As someone else said, HDX might be the last DSP card in history.

With the multicore race that Intel and AMD are having recently, I'd say the writing is on the wall...

Look at the recently announced iMac Pro, 18 cores (36 threads)!

SMPTE was talking about AVB a few years ago. MTRX uses cards so it can support anything. SMPTE 2022 is over ten years old. The new one is SMPTE 2110. I have no idea what layer it is

SMPTE 2110 is Layer 3 – it's effectively TR03/04 as described above. Think of it as the equivalent of AES67 for video. (SMPTE 2022 was also Layer 3, except it wrapped SDI directly rather than the underlying video.) Neither are based on AVB.

Re: MTRX, yes, see here. I'll believe it when I see it.

Why would they release a card for an important new broadcast format before anybody else does?

The IdeaScale request is about AVB, so the MTRX can interop with Avid's existing products such as the S3 and S6L.
