PTE Academic (or any PT Academic versions)
I'm looking at options for a portable recording system for use @ college, perhaps the Mbox3 w/PTE (although I'd prefer a full version of PT). A salesperson informed me that the educational/academic versions of PT do not allow the user to bounce to disk because of the restriction of commercial use. True? It seems odd to be unable to burn a cd of your work.....

Re: PTE Academic (or any PT Academic versions)
That salesman is talking complete garbage! The educational versions of pro tools allow you do exactly the same as if you went out out bought a full price copy of pro tools. (unless of course you are using pro tools express or other limited version)
Although technically you can not use the software for commercial purposes as stated in Avid's T&C's. Brad |

Thank you brad30123 - that didn't make sense to me, but I had to check. My student's budget doesn't allow for $200 errors!
