Default High pitched whine in my Mbox 2

I am bummed that I am removing this box from my set up. I have tried everything that was suggested in an earlier thread about the issue. But the high pitched whine is still there.

I have a Zoom r24 that I was planning on using as a mixer but it will now replace the MBox, and I am done with Digidesign and its family of products.

Plain and simple there are plenty of other DAWs that are waaay less hassle
