Eucon 3.3.2 keeps dropping connection with Nuendo 7

I'm not sure what's happening or why. But I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro on a new OS drive in the rebuild of my PC. Then I updated Eucon to the latest version along with the fresh install of the latest version of Nuendo 7.

I actually started working on a project for the first time in 2 weeks since the crash. But I could only do about 5 or 6 edits and then I noticed that the MC Control had stopped working. It was on, it still saw Nuendo, at least for track selection and transport. But copy/paste, split, duplicate and other basic edit functions had just abruptly stopped working. I would then open EuControl and tell it to re-start. It would and then the edit functions came back online for about the same period of time before dropping the connection again.

Anybody else having this experience with 3.3.2?

It regularly craps out with Logic, too. Pretty damn infuriating. Never seems to lose connectivity when I'm running PT, though....

Do you think this is deliberate or just a "happy accident" that Avid has no intention of correcting? Eucon WAS a wonderful protocol, who's biggest drawing feature was that it worked with ANY DAW. Now under the Avid flag it only works as expected with Pro Tools and it consistently buggy with EVERY other DAW? It's hard to see this as anything other than Avid corrupting the Euphonix intent.

Yeah, I have no idea WTF is going on other than the stability of EuCon under Logic is nothing like it is in PT; I just wish there were other/better alternatives for control surfaces because if there were, I'd be gone from this madness.
