Avid S1 + Softube Console Fader together?

Not sure this has been asked anywhere , if so please redirect me. I have an Avid S1 unit which is great. I am considering another unit for additional faders such as Softube Console 1 Fader. Yes a second S1 unit would be awesome but ...cost. Hence, the Console 1 Fader. So, is this a bad idea? will they work together? I get they use different protocols: Eucon (Avid) and USB/app for Softube. Am I being too optimistic to think the S1 will know what channels the Console Fader unit is on and vice versa? or will this just give me headaches?

Just one opinion, but I would not mix the 2 and here are my reasons:
#1-mix and match might just never work right(see #2).
#2-Softube's hardware doesn't match at all with Eucon(10 faders).
#3-as much as I like softube's plugins, I had their Console One and it never really lived up to the concept/promise.
#4-Eucon leaves everything else in the dust for smooth integration with PT.

I have the Console 1 which I do like so thought about adding the fader for another 8 channels to work with. I suspect the same that using both might just be a hassle to deal with. I use Cubase also. forgot to mention that.
