Beeps and Slow Downs
So I'm running PT9 with a Mackie Onyx 1220i on Windows 7. Sometimes it runs absolutely fine, no problems at all.
But I keep getting loud beeps during playback. And even more annoying the audio is lagging behind the screen. So for instance the play marker will be at the start of bar 4 while the audio playing is only at bar 3.02 it's especially infuriating when dealing with automation, because that seems to be triggered visually, i.e. when the playmarker hits it, which makes all my automation go out of time. could it be a problem with the video card maybe? here's my PC, it's pretty new: ASUS P6X58D-E - X58 Chipset INTEL i7 950 Quad 3.06Ghz Nvidia 8400GS 512Mb - Dual Head Belkin 3 Port Firewire Card - Texas Instruments Chipset 1394a (TI Chipset) not sure how you bring up all your specs. if anyone can help that would be fantastic. this is making me pull my hair out at times |

Re: Beeps and Slow Downs
I've had a few other little weird issues as well, like half-speed playback, Pro Tools refusing to playback at all, waveform images not being created.. most of these seem to disappear after I trash preferences, though

Re: Beeps and Slow Downs
One of the siggest issues with beeps and white noise during playback is having a plug in thats in demo mode. Happens all the time.

Re: Beeps and Slow Downs
Have you disabled the wifi adapter and turned power management OFF for all USB ports?(check and make sure as I had that feature restore itself a few times)

Re: Beeps and Slow Downs
now for some reason it won't let me select any software instruments as my output on instrument tracks. e.g, i'm trying to trigger Vacuum through my MPC - it will let me select my midi interface as the input for the track, but won't route the output to Vacuum on the inserts. Same thing happened with Mini Grand

Re: Beeps and Slow Downs
Start with a stereo Instrument track. Insert Vacuum(or MiniGrand) in the very top slot(slot A), put the track in record-ready and see if the mpc pads make any sound. Have you setup the mpc as a midi "instrument" in Setup.Midi>Midi Studio?
