Default clip gain and groups

I'm trying to figure out whether something is possible that I was sure I've done before.

Let's say you have two guitar tracks that are the same take: one DI and one mic.

Let's say you create a group that has these two tracks.

When this group is selected and you want to make a clip gain change to both tracks and you grab the clip gain line on one of them, shouldn't the other track show the same point being grabbed?

I was sure I had done this previously but I now I don't know if I'm losing my mind (or dreamt this ). Maybe it's both.

What I'm trying to avoid is having to make identical clip gain changes twice.

Update: I was just clearing a clearing gain line with two of these tracks selected and both tracks were cleared together. I thought it worked the other way as well...

I figured out what I was thinking of (and trying to do).

I was thinking of how when you have two tracks in a group that is selected and you make manual automation changes, each change affect both tracks.

Haven't done that in a while...I was thinking that the same logic works with clip gain changes.

I guess not...I'll live.

Create a clip group > adjust the clip gain.

Thanks--this is good to know. What a little weird though is that when you ungroup the changes disappear.

They disappear because you can have clip gain on the individual clips, then group them and have clip gain adjustments on the group.

Commit the clip gain if you don't want it to disappear.

OK--thanks. I'll figure out to commit (will check the manual).

Thanks all...
