Default 6086 Error since 8.0

Hey there!
I've been searching for solutions and reinstalling my Pro Tools 8.0 for hours now.

I use it together with a Mbox 2 and everything worked fine with 7.4. Now I downloaded and installed 8.0 and even if I just playback a ONE TRACK CLICK after 5 sec or so, the error pops up.

I got a not usable error with Analog Factory as well, but I removed the plugin to the unused plugins. Didn't change anything..

I'm freaking frustrated!

Edit: The tech support utility is telling me there'd be no valid Pro Tools version by the way.. reinstalled it one more time, still the same. What the..

Well, yeah I'm working on this.. anyway, PT 7.4 worked greatly. No hardwarechanges since..
The error's only occuring when I have PT open, when I minimize it, the playback keeps going..

The DPC Latency Checker tells me everything is fine with my system. I checked the program while I got an error and the latency was on green level..

Actually, anyone knows whe the TechSupport Utility doesn't recognize the version of PT?

Yea, found that version too.
Neither the Utility for PT8 nor the one for PT7 works..

Anyone can confirm the version runs correctly with PT8?

Thanks for your efforts anyway..!

I've tried both and they both function correctly. If they are both not functioning, that may be an indication that there is something wrong with your basic Windows installation, or at least a (possible) mis-configuration or missed update somewhere.

We're still going to need a Sandra report as well...

Alright, at least it's the best hint I got..

But I'm tired of uninstalling and installing PT all over again.. I'm getting a headache

It's not the simple fact that I didn't install PT to its custom folder, is it? Feel like going crazy..

Woah, woah... custom folder? What custom folder?

PT should always be installed to the default location.
