Default Error Message- Can not be imported because QuickTime is not installed

I finally finished installing Pro Tools and I was really excited to get started, but I'm already stuck because it won't let me import songs. On the bottom of the "import audio" pop-up it says I haven't installed QuickTime, but I did...I think the problem might be that I installed QuickTime after I installed Pro Tools, but I still don't know how to solve the problem...help would be much appreciated.

I might be wrong but I don´t think you need to have Quicktime installed to import audio files.
Did you try to import video files?

You import audio files by clicking on File-->Import-->Audio or shift-cmd-I.

The sequence doesn't matter. Make sure you installed the most recent version of QuickTime and do a cold boot.

Thanks for the replies, it turned out to be a really simple fix. I forgot to reboot. Oops.

You import audio files by clicking on File-->Import-->Audio or shift-cmd-I.
You do need it if you want to import MP3 files into your session
