Default Pro Tools won't save session

Hi DUC community. I am having no luck saving a session on my laptop. PT keeps informing me that I don't have permission or that the drive is read only. The same session saves to the same drive with no problem when I connect to my trash can. Could this be an OS error I ask. I have trashed all prefs and reinstalled PT and still the same error.

Check inside PT that the disc allocation is the same on both computers. This may be a case of a setting that doesn't stay with the drive.

For external drives, 'Get Info' on the drive and at the bottom there should be an 'Ignore Ownership' checkbox. If it is not checked, checking that helps with permission issues.

Ok. Thanks for your replies. The problem is now solved. It concerned a Trackspacer plugin which was not authorised for the computer. The minute I removed the plugin the session saved as normal. There was no warning dialog about the plugin authorisation. Such is life. I only found this out after reinstalling the OS and PT. Argh!!

This is weird because every other plugin I've ever heard about if it wasn't authorized would not interfere with saving a session. Might not save the plugin's parameters but other than that - the session would save normally.

That is what I thought should have happened too.
